Since its inception in 1986, the Texas Adopt-A-Beach program has witnessed the dedication of over 567,000 volunteers who have collectively removed more than 9,800 tons of trash from Texas shores.
As an Adopt-a-Beach event support volunteer, you will work alongside Galveston Bay Foundation staff to ensure the event runs smoothly and successfully.
You can choose to:
- Parking Lot Volunteers: Guide arriving vehicles, help with signage, and welcome guests.
- Check-In Volunteers: Greet arrivals, collect waivers, and direct volunteers to the next station.
- Supply Monitors: Help keep supplies stocked and volunteers moving.
- Setup & Breakdown: Work with staff to set up this fun event and then pack it up at the end.
