Join the Bayou Preservation Association for the Texas Stream Team Standard Core Training and take the first step toward becoming a certified citizen scientist. GBF is also a partner of Texas Stream Team, and this training transfers to any Stream Team Partner across the state.
Once you are trained through Texas Stream Team, you can more easily certify to monitor brackish water with GBF.
During this hands-on training, you’ll learn how to monitor water quality, gather valuable data, and play a crucial role in understanding non-point source pollution, identifying impacts on waterways, and protecting our local ecosystems.
No prior experience required. Training and materials are included. Space is limited, so RSVP now to secure your spot and begin making a tangible difference in the health of our bayous. To learn more about the Standard Core training and to review pre-training documents, visit the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment website.
The day will consist of a mix of classroom time inside and hands-on experience outside.
Please bring a reusable water bottle, dress for the weather, and closed-toed shoes. Bring your own sack lunch.
