Help tell the story of Bike Around the Bay!
Help capture the people, places, and moments that make our two-day, 175-mile Bike Around the Bay ↗ fundraiser such a memorable experience.
With thousands of riders and hundreds of volunteers pitching in to make this event happen, we need help capturing the images and footage that will help GBF inspire others to care for the Bay.
Media Volunteers retain ownership of their original photos and videos while granting Galveston Bay Foundation permission to use submitted media for outreach, education, fundraising, and promotional purposes.
As a Media Support Volunteer, you will:
- Complete one or more assigned shifts as you are available on Saturday, Sunday, or both days of the event
- Photograph or film riders, volunteers, and scenic locations using a staff-provided shot list
- Capture both candid and posed moments that highlight the people, energy, and environment of the ride
- Coordinate with GBF staff to support safety, brand consistency, and proper credit
- Submit a selection of your best unedited images or video clips within one week after the event
This is a volunteer role and all hours should be logged by October 30, 2026. Volunteers should plan on using their own photography or videography equipment.

Snacks, Breakfast, or Lunch will be provided depending on your shift. All volunteers receive a commemorative t-shirt to remember the day.
Commitment: One or more scheduled shifts during Bike Around the Bay weekend.
Your images help people experience Bike Around the Bay long after the ride is over meaning they can inspire future stewardship and action for the Bay.
