We’re currently accepting applications for two Dedicated Volunteer roles through Friday, March 27. Applications are reviewed as they are received.

Volunteers supporting oyster habitat restoration

Oyster Habitat Restoration Support

Support oyster habitat restoration work through hands-on assistance and ongoing project help in the Oyster Habitat Restoration Program.

  • Assist staff with restoration activities and project logistics
  • Help keep work moving smoothly through reliable support
  • Build experience in coastal restoration and stewardship

Volunteer supporting operations and event preparation

Operations Support

Provide behind-the-scenes support that helps GBF programs, events, and day-to-day operations run well.

  • Assist with organization, preparation, and program support tasks
  • Support staff with consistent, detail-oriented help
  • Gain experience supporting conservation programs and outreach

How to Apply

Dedicated Volunteering is a good fit if you are:

  • Age 18+ and interested in deeper involvement with GBF
  • Able to commit to a schedule and ongoing participation
  • Excited to support work that protects Galveston Bay

What happens after you apply? Applications are reviewed as they are received. Individuals may be notified of selection at any time before or shortly after the March 27 deadline.

Not selected this round? After March 27, interested individuals will be invited to join community volunteer events until the next Dedicated Volunteer roles open.
