Help Get Bike Around the Bay Rolling!

We are getting ready for our big annual fundraiser, Bike Around the Bay ↗. This two-day, 175-mile ride sees thousands of riders pedaling to raise critical funds for Galveston Bay Foundation's conservation work and hundreds of volunteers pitching in to make it happen.

Before riders hit the road, there’s plenty to get ready and our Prep Crew is the team that gets us to the starting line.

As part of the Prep Crew, you will work alongside staff and fellow volunteers to:

Sort and roll event shirts Organize supplies and pack event bins Assemble and organize rider packets for pickup Help with other light event-prep tasks as needed

Please bring a reusable water bottle and snacks. Restrooms and wi-fi are available onsite. Be prepared for standing, walking, and light lifting throughout the shift.

When you help prepare Bike Around the Bay, you help create an experience that inspires riders and supporters to give back to the Bay year after year.

Help us gear up for the starting line!

We are getting ready for our big annual fundraiser, Bike Around the Bay ↗. This two-day, 175-mile ride sees thousands of riders pedaling to raise critical funds for Galveston Bay Foundation's conservation work and hundreds of volunteers pitching in to make it happen.

Before the big ride, supplies have to get where they need to go and Loading Volunteers get our supply trucks ready to hit the road.

As a Loading Volunteer, you will work alongside staff and fellow volunteers to:

Complete final counts before supplies are moved Organize and arrange boxed and loose supplies Move supplies using wagons, hand trucks, and safe lifting to load items into trucks Assist GBF staff with additional event-preparation tasks as needed

Lunch will be provided, and all volunteers will receive an official Bike Around the Bay volunteer T-shirt. Restrooms and wi-fi are available onsite. Be prepared for an active shift that includes standing, walking, bending, carrying, and lifting.

Help Riders Start Strong!

Help kick off our two-day, 175-mile Bike Around the Bay ↗ fundraiser where thousands of riders raise critical funds for Galveston Bay Foundation's conservation work.

Riders will be traveling from Baytown, down East Bay to Bolivar Island. There, they will hop on the ferry on their way to Moody Gardens in Galveston where they will finish Day 1 of the ride.

Your help will ensure they get to Galveston smoothly and safely, so they can pedal another day.

As an Event Volunteer, you may help with:

Loading and organizing cyclists’ luggage Setting up tables and chairs Preparing gatorade and fruit for riders Welcoming and cheering on cyclists Assisting GBF staff as needed

All volunteers will receive an official Bike Around the Bay volunteer T-shirt! Remember to update your profile with your shirt size.

No experience required. Staff and supply truck volunteers will show you the ropes.

This is an active role. You can expect to be walking, standing, bending, and lifting throughout the event. Be prepared to work as a team to lift and carry up to 15 lbs.

Portable restrooms and handwashing stations available.

Cheer on Riders at the  Day 1 Finish Line!

Join us in celebrating riders as the complete Day 1 of our two-day, 175-mile Bike Around the Bay ↗ fundraiser.

Riders will have covered 97 miles on their way from Baytown, down East Bay, and across the ferry before they get to the Finish on Day 1; 100 miles if they complete the century loop).

We need your help cheering them across the finish and celebrating their first day on the road.

As an Event Volunteer, you may help with:

Setting up and organizing event supplies Helping setup our arch Unloading and organizing cyclists’ luggage Helping riders check their bikes in and out of the bike lot Restocking fresh produce, snacks, and hydration stations Helping manage waste and keep the venue clean Welcoming and cheering riders Assisting GBF staff as needed

Lunch is provided for the AM shift and dinner for the PM shift, with snacks available throughout.

All volunteers will receive an official Bike Around the Bay volunteer T-shirt! Remember to update your profile with your shirt size.

No experience required. Staff will provide instructions onsite. Portable restrooms and handwashing stations will be available.

Help Riders Start Day 2 Strong!

Help kick off Day 2 of our two-day, 175-mile Bike Around the Bay ↗ fundraiser, where thousands of riders raise critical funds for Galveston Bay Foundation’s conservation work.

Riders will leave Galveston rested and ready to complete the second half of their journey up West Bay and over the Fred Hartman Bridge back to Baytown.

Day 2 can be grueling. Your help ensures our riders are ready to get back on the road early that morning.

As an Event Volunteer, you may help with:

Preparing and restocking water and Gatorade stationsLoading cyclists’ luggageBreaking down tents, tables, and chairsLoading supplies back on truckAssisting GBF staff as needed

Breakfast provided. All volunteers will receive an official Bike Around the Bay volunteer T-shirt! Remember to update your profile with your shirt size.

No experience required. Staff will provide instructions onsite. Restrooms available onsite.

Help Riders Finish Strong!

Help bring our two-day, 175-mile Bike Around the Bay ↗ fundraiser home.

After two days of riding around Galveston Bay, cyclists will return to Baytown ready to cross the finish line and celebrate what they accomplished.

Your help gives riders the support they need to cross the finish line after an epic ride for conservation.

As an Event Volunteer, you may help with:

Unloading and organizing cyclists’ luggage and bikes Helping to manage waste, recycling, and compost Restocking fresh produce and hydration stations Cheering riders across the finish line Assisting GBF staff as needed

Pizza and snacks provided. All volunteers will receive an official Bike Around the Bay volunteer T-shirt! Remember to update your profile with your shirt size.

No experience required.Staff will provide instructions onsite. Portable restrooms and handwashing stations will be available.

Many hands make light work!

Help us wrap up after Bike Around the Bay ↗, a two-day, 175-mile ride that sees thousands of riders pedaling to raise critical funds for Galveston Bay Foundation's conservation work.

After the big ride, all those supplies have to come home and Unloading Volunteers help us get equipment off the trucks, organized, and back where it belongs.

As an Unloading Volunteer, you will work alongside staff and fellow volunteers to:

Unload boxed and loose supplies from event trucks Wash and sanitize coolers and ice chests Move supplies using wagons, hand trucks, and safe lifting Sort and organize supplies in their designated storage areas Assist GBF staff with additional post-event tasks as needed

Snacks and beverages will be provided. All volunteers will receive an official Bike Around the Bay volunteer T-shirt. Restrooms and wi-fi are available onsite.

Be prepared for an active shift that includes using a hose and possibly getting wet, walking, bending, carrying, and lifting.
