Parking at GBF Headquarters in Kemah

Please read through the following information to better prepare yourself for visiting our site.

If you are coming down I-45 from Houston, we recommend exiting at Highway 96 / League City Parkway and turning left onto Highway 146 N to enter through our SOUTH Gate.

Please enter through the SOUTH Gate. The immediate area in front of the gate is under construction. Watch for construction workers and large trucks.

We have two buildings on site:

  • the GBF shop where our nursery is located,
  • and the Gessner Center where our offices and classrooms are located.

Parking will differ depending on the building. Please read details below and always refer to your event details to confirm your meeting location.

PLAN YOUR ROUTE: You may encounter detours and delays. Check your navigation ahead of time and plan accordingly.

GBF Shop - Aquatic Nursery & Service Group Parking

If you are unsure about where you are meeting your team, be sure to refer to your specific opportunity details and or contact the Volunteer Team at volunteer@galvbay.org.

  • Please carpool if you are able; parking can be limited during weekday events.
  • Park in any available space in our lot and walk to the front of the building via the port-cochère.
  • A staff member will be near the port-cochère or just inside the staging area to help direct you as needed.

Gessner Center - Office & Workshop Parking

Once you enter through the South Gate, continue on the service road past the large bioswale on towards the Gessner Center. Park in any of the available parking spaces.
